Hello,

My name is Grace Rodriguez, and I am an undergraduate senior at the University of Florida majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am currently conducting an honors thesis research project looking at the relationship between state of practice and attitudes toward raising Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH) children as oral bilinguals. I am trying to find if there is some sort of correlation between the diversity index of the state where a professional works and whether they support the idea of a D/HH child being raised an oral bilingual.

I would like to invite you to participate in this study. I created a survey with 11 questions that will take less than 10 minutes to complete. As a participant, you will be asked to answer a series of eligibility, demographic, and Likert-scale questions. Any licensed audiologist, audiologist assistant, speech language pathologist, speech language pathologist assistant, or teacher of the Deaf who practices in the U.S. and has worked with D/HH children and/or their families is welcome to participate.

If you know anyone who might qualify to complete this study, please feel free to share the link to them (this is nationwide)! I need as many responses as possible by March 8th, so I appreciate all your time and help!

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me by email (grodriguez10 at ufl.edu<mailto:grodriguez10 at ufl.edu>) or phone number (786-562-4741).

Thanks so much!
