The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB), located on Galveston Island about
50 miles south of Houston, is a leading academic medical center that has helped define the future

Requirements
Our unique one-year residency in Speech-Language Pathology begins each year in June and
provides exposure to a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for patients of all ages.
During the one-year commitment, the resident fulfills their requirements for the ASHA Clinical
Fellowship year. Our dynamic team of Speech -Language Pathologist provides comprehensive
inpatient and outpatient services to adults.
The successful candidate will have completed their Master's Degree program and have a special
interest in acute care with prior externship experience in a hospital setting. All Candidates must
