Opportunity for Oregon SLPs to participate in research and earn a $25 gift card!
Researchers at the University of Oregon and Oregon Health & Science University would like your help in a research study about evaluating and treating children from Latino backgrounds ages 0 to 5 We are interested in learning more about the challenges you face and the resources you access in providing services for young Latino children with communication concerns. We hope that this study will help us improve services for diverse children and families.
To participate in the study, you must be currently employed at an agency that provides assessment or intervention services for children in Oregon and have provided assessment or intervention services to at least 5 children from Latino backgrounds in the previous year.
If you choose to participate, we will first ask you to complete a short online survey about yourself and your work with children ages 0 to 5. This survey should take about 10 minutes. Then, we will schedule an interview with you over the phone at a time convenient to you. This interview will be audio recorded and last no more than 45 minutes. All of your personal information will be kept confidential, as you will be assigned an ID number to be used instead of your name. To thank you for your time, we will send you a $25 Amazon gift card once you have completed the interview.
If you are interested in participating, please email lcycyk at uoregon.edu<mailto:lcycyk at uoregon.edu> to receive the link to the electronic survey and consent forms.
If you have questions about the study, you can contact Dr. Lauren Cycyk directly at (541) 346-2149 or at lcycyk at uoregon.edu<mailto:lcycyk at uoregon.edu>, or you can contact the University of Oregon Research Compliance Services at (541) 346-2510.
