***Bridgeway House is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist***

Bridgeway House serves the needs of children with autism and related abilities while educating and supporting their families. Our programs help a diverse group of children meet the challenges of living with autism, as well as help their parents and caregivers manage the stresses of raising a child with special needs.

This position includes working with students in the school setting (it’s a manageable caseload!) and the opportunity to see private clients. You will get to work with students with a diverse range of communication abilities and needs including apraxia, AAC, disfluency, and articulation and language disorders. This position will begin September 2019.

Responsibilities:

· Work closely with team members including parents, teachers, occupational therapists, case managers, behavior analysts, and other SLPs
· Demonstrate a positive demeanor that support students’ sense of self-worth
· Maintain positive and professional relationships
· Use appropriate communication (verbal, nonverbal, written) with all individuals across settings

· Evaluate, interpret, and explain the speech/language abilities of students, based on standardized and dynamic assessments

· Determine eligibility for speech-language therapy services.

· Formulate goals and create appropriate and relevant therapy to address goals.

· Maintain accurate documentation of student progress

· Attend IEPS and provide appropriate documentation of services

· Honor confidentiality (HIPAA, FERPA)

· Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Master’s degree from an accredited university

· Active Oregon license in SLP

· Certificate of Clinical Competence (CFY applicants will be considered)

· Favorable background check

The right person will be motivated and able to work independently.
Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply; supervision is available.
