Dear CAS community,

I share President Schill's belief that yesterday's verdict in the Chauvin trial cannot "not lessen our resolve" to struggle for a safer and more just country.

As a College, as a community, let us all commit to examining every day how we can be part of facing societal racism and actively working to eliminate it. Let us commit to ensuring that everyone in our community feels fully valued and included. And let us commit to demanding equitable treatment and justice for all.

Our community will be going through a range of emotions in the coming days and weeks about this event. Please be mindful of this and provide your support to others as you are able.
