Gift Reporting

[Business Affairs Office News]

Good morning,

The Business Affairs Office (BAO) Financial Services department would like to remind campus departments of their responsibilities regarding gifts. Any gifts of goods or services received during FY19 from outside sources, including items purchased by the University of Oregon (UO) Foundation, must be reported to the BAO.

Gifts must be reported to ensure the donor receives a timely and appropriate letter of thanks from the Foundation and to initiate the necessary accounting entries by the BAO.

Goods and services can include, but are not limited to:

*         scientific equipment

*         computers

*         musical instruments

*         media services

*         landscaping services

Gifts are to be reported on the Report of Gift form located on forms.uoregon.edu<https://forms.uoregon.edu/>.

Please forward your completed forms to the Business Affairs Office by Monday, July 8th, so the gifts can be recorded in period 12. Forms received after that date and before Tuesday, July 16th will be recorded in period 14.
