Good afternoon,

The Business Affairs Office (BAO) Financial Services Department requests your assistance in gathering information on your department's equipment, software and real property leases.

The lease information you provide is recorded in the Banner Fixed Asset System (FAS) and is provided to various departments for:

  *   Insurance coverage.
  *   Inventory control.
  *   University space planning.
  *   Setting various rates.
  * Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) analysis.
  * Oregon University System (OUS) annual financial statements.
  * Other key aspects of managing the university that impact your department directly.
Please contact BAO when you:

  * Enter into a new lease agreement, including those using purchase orders and other types of contracts.
  * Change an existing lease, including returns, changes in terms such as amendments, extensions or early terminations.
  * Have lease agreements you have not yet reported.
Include leases you have with other departments, OUS institutions and external parties where your department is either:

  * The lessee (tenant) - you pay others for the right to use their assets.
