doctoral studies in Numismatics, and earned her Ph.D. in Arabic and Islamic Studies (UCM). Since January 2000, she has worked in several American university study abroad programs, currently at New York University (since 2001), Stanford University, and the
University of San Diego. She teaches courses about Islam and Spain, the history of Sefarad, and the cultural history of Spain. She has participated in several European research projects and has received numerous fellowships from Spanish, European, and American
institutions, as well as several awards, both for research and teaching. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums, and is a member of the Editorial Board and Scientific Committee of numerous
national and international journals specializing in Numismatics, Archaeology, and Arab and Islamic Studies.</span></p>
