In case it can be of your interest, next Tuesday (June 3rd), Sarali  
Gintsburg will present her recent book "Ignatiy Krachkovskiy y el  
arabismo español. 150 años de su nacimiento" and give a seminar on the  
topic in English at the Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales del CSIC  
in Madrid that can also be followed online via zoom:

The Breath of Perfume from the Branch of Flourishing Al-Andalus on the  
banks of the Neva: Ignatiy Krachkovskiy and Spanish Arab Studies

Sarali Gintsburg (ILC-CSIC)

This seminar will feature the  academic legacy of Ignatiy  
Krachkovskiy, an outstanding Russian scholar and Arabist (1883-1951),  
and shed light on Krachkovskiy´s connections with several Spanish  
Arabists who were his contemporaries. Among them are first and  
foremost  Julián Ribera y Tarragó and Emilio García Gómez. In the  
course of the seminar I will also present my recent monograph   
"Ignatiy Krachkovskiy y el arabismo español. 150 años de su  
nacimiento" (UCO Press - Editorial UCA, 2024).
