Dear Digital Medievalist,
I wanted to email to let you know that there is only one month left to
apply for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, with submissions closing on 1
September. Would you be interested in sharing the opportunity with your
members?
The Award has 3 categories open to academic works in languages other than
Arabic.
About the Award
The Sheikh Zayed Book Award is one of the world’s leading Arabic book
prizes which annually awards outstanding literary and scholarly works
written in Arabic or engaging with Arabic culture. Founded in 2006, each
year prizes are awarded by an independent jury to authors, translators,
publishers, and organisations from around the world.
Each winner receives 750,000 UAE Dirhams (160,578 GBP / 204,197 USD) to
support their career and create opportunities for greater scholarship and
creativity.
Deadline: 1 September 2024
Submissions can be made via the Award website, where there is also more
information on the submissions and judging process.
