Thank you, Javier. Though you don't mention it in the bibliography of
your chapter, I assume the idea to investigate the circumstances of
Qadi `Iyad's death and -specially the accusations of Judaism against
him- was prompted by an article I devoted to the accusation of
crypto-Judaism against Averroes:

D. Serrano Ruano, “Explicit cruelty, implicit compassion:
Judaism, forced conversions and the genealogy of the Banu Rushd”,
Journal of
Medieval Iberian Studies, 2/2(2010), 217-33.

In fact in p. 234, note 22 of another related article I published
subsequently (D. Serrano Ruano, “New evidence and considerations on
the origins and genealogy of the Banū Rushd”, Al-Qantara, XXXIX/1
(2018), 225-237) I refer to what by that time I had got to know about
your research.

With best wishes to you and to all the list members,

Delfina Serrano-Ruano
PhD Tenured Researcher
Institute for Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean and the Near East
Spanish Higher Council for Scientific Research,
Madrid (Spain)
